Series Makes Return to Smoky Mountain Speedway
(June
10, 2026) The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series makes
its annual stop at Smoky Mountain Speedway on June 19-20 for the
Mountain Moonshine Classic presented by FK Rod Ends and East Tennessee
Auto Outlet.
Former Mountain Moonshine Classic winner Hudson O’Neal
leads the series point standings heading into the action at Smoky
Mountain Speedway. Brandon Sheppard has moved into second behind
O’Neal. Defending series champion Devin Moran sits third
in points followed by Brandon Overton and Ricky Thornton Jr. to
round out the top five. Max Blair, Garrett Albertson, Brian Shirley,
Josh Rice, Kyle Bronson, Clay Harris, Carson Ferguson, and Dan
Ebert are other series regulars expected. Other possible entrants
include Dale McDowell, Mike Marlar, Chris Madden, Chris Ferguson,
Sam Seawright, Luke Morey, Dillon McCowan, and more.
Action gets underway on Friday, June 19 for a $10,000 to win
complete show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Sportsman
late models will also be racing for $800 to win and front wheel
drive cars for $500 to win. The Juice Box racers will compete
for kids 3-5 and 6-8. Racing resumes on Saturday, June 20 for
a $30,000 to win complete program for the Lucas Oil Late Model
Dirt Series. Sportsman late models return for another $800 to
win race and street stocks join for a $700 to win race. The Juice
Box racers return as well. All gates will open at noon. The driver’s
meeting will take place at 6:30 followed by hot laps at 7:00.

The deadline for media credentials is Wednesday, June 17. Anyone
seeking a media credential must print, fill out, and submit the
request form on the track’s web site, including those that
have attended previous races this season.
